The Goal of IBS is to develop ethically grounded professional managers who can add value to organizations and communities in a dynamic environment.

IBS promotes high quality learning experience in an adaptive environment, with a focus on relevance, rigor and research.

IBS believes in offering high quality, market-relevant programs to its students. It places a lot of emphasis on imparting relevant knowledge, offering practical skills, and instilling positive attitudes through new academic offerings and various other campus services.

Goals Image

IBS follows 100% Case-based teaching and was one of the first B-schools in India to do so. In the case method of learning, students are required to read the case, comprehend the business situation and apply whatever they have learnt in their books to a real-life business situation explained in the case study.

The experiential learning methodology in the program provides the students with a mechanism to seek, comprehend and internalize the knowledge on a continuous basis.

The market driven curriculum further offers the students an industry interface through a summer internship program (SIP).

The syllabus is updated on a regular basis according to the needs of the industry.

The IBSAT exam pattern closely resembles that of the CAT, but with no negative marking.
The test is divided into the following sections and has a duration of 2 hours.

Section Title No. of Questions
1 Verbal Ability 50
2 Reading Comprehension 30
3 Quantitative Aptitude 30
4 Data Adequacy and Data Interpretation 30
Total 140
